IVY: the ivy is a model I have been working on with IVY THOMAS for a few years now and started with my base longboard foil, being agile on rail, fast down the line and tweaked to suit her surfing on the points in coolangatta, in particular on her backhand for nose riding. The bottom shape is rolled from nose to tail, we added a fairly shallow blended concave to the nose to help with some extra hold in the wall when nose riding without losing to much trim speed, also the general foil and rail volume slightly increased to help water wrap and hold onto the rail. The rocker line is smooth with a little nose flip and long tail rocker that doesn’t kink or aggressively accelerate at any point. it’s a great ‘all rounder’ for most people and wave types. It noserides well in the right spots on the wave without being your general super heavy/slow “nose rider”and feels light and agile off the tail. a good board for easy no-nonsense longboarding. always ridden as a single fin.
